Hey guys.

I've been avoiding it for quite a while, "band-aiding" my a/c issues by recharging the R-134 every 3 or 4 months. Well, whatever is wrong has worsened to the point that I recharged it 2 weeks ago, and it's already failing.

Now to my question. What have you guys seen as a common failure point for the a/c system? I've never had any experience working on my a/c, and don't know how to diagnose it myself. Any pointers? Also, I'm not so good on the search function, so anyone that finds stuff and wants to post up the obligatory "you're a moron, here's the search results you should have found" posts, feel free. I'll read up on them and see what I can find. Also, If you guys just want to tell me what you've come accross personally, I'd like that too.

Thanks in advance, everyone.

folow the lines and components look for oil, o-rings at the joints have been a problem, if you cannot find it try to borrow/resnt/buy a sniffer.

Once you fix the problem dou you have a way to put a vacuum on the system before refilling? If not your systems will not run at optimum performance.
