Stan Meyers was the inventor. He died "mysteriously" after eating in a restaurant near his home. He had recently shown his invention, a water powered dune buggy, to a Military Official who came for a demonstration. It would work with fresh water, salt water, snow, piss, whatever. It would have been incredible. There are many theories about his death, from the government poisoning him or the oil companies or OPEC taking him out. Soon after, his shop was looted and his invention destroyed. Ironically, he told one else how to make his invention work. His twin brother Steve is trying to continue his work. I hope he succeeds. There was a long discussion on Opie and Anthony about this a few months ago.
Imagine what would happen to the economy if we suddenly no longer depended on oil from the Middle East. The huge oil companies would instantly be out of business.

i have been following this for some time and nothing new has come up...except the water burns with radio waves
as seen here: Salt water as fuel? Erie man hopes so just one site of many about it
so why not combust the salt water at the right moment

looking into his design...he sends 110v to the plugs...water in the cyl then grounds the volts creating spark....
like dropping a live wire in water
cant see how that would provide enough power to move the piston on the power stroke....he does note a loss of power.
retrards the timing 35 deg.
interesting...
So the guberment suppress's development "and"allows the sale of crap that dont work...

he is still quite active on the yahoo group....there are many guys trying to get his design to work...one guy i believe is close...or at least it looks like he is...they wouldnt be after me...they would go for the originator first
Tell you what, donate the books for the Fall Gathering raffle. We'll be sure it gets built and thoroughly tested. Actually, with those simple plans and materials, and the combined handiness of 100 or so cruiserheads, I'm sure we can get it up and running that weekend! We're a bunch of cheap...........er,...........thrifty, Yankees, so you can be sure that when it works we'll be spreading the word!
