I still do not know what size the adapter is but it works. Just leaks alot. Maybe I should have used teflon tape..... :doh:

Thanks for showing us how you did it. Where did you get it? Is it made of copper or galvinized steel?Where did you put your after market temp. gauge in the vehicle? Did you use the origal temp. sender hole? Thanks!
 
I got it at PepBoys.(Maybe not the best place)$20.00 cheap SunPro.
Adapter looks like brass? Captive fitting maybe steel.
The diagram shows the "factory hole" originally used for the sender for the factory gauge. So I just adapted the new gauge's sender to fit the old hole. I put the gauge under the dash right near the shifter.
