So, my 07 has been taking on water at the rear of the truck and doesn't seem to be draining. I can hear it sloshing around in the rear when I make sharp turns. Only happens after a good rain. The truck is always parked on an incline with the nose up. There doesn't appear to be any water in the interior as none of the carpets or anything are wet.

Where are the drain plugs in the rear? Also, is there anything else I need to investigate or be concerned about?

I had same thing happen, found about 2 inches of water under the rear edge of the truck. If you pull either side trim in the rear you can see holes you can shine a light into and see the water.

Root cause in my situation was a broken weather strip. The one that runs around the entire rear of the cargo hold. Easy fix. However I did find moist carpet on either side of the cargo area right near where the tie down hooks are. Others have had similar issues with leaky 3rd brake light I believe.

As far as getting rid of the water that came in, I parked on a slope with nose up, pulled the trim pieces and packed a towel down on each side. Was dry after a couple rounds of that. I then sprayed a bunch of fluid film into the cavity in hopes of preventing future rust.

Cool, I'll take a look and see if I can find the source.

Where did you source the weather strip?
