We are retrofitting and restoring the '55 and installing a 3B diesel in the process. I've got a Racor water sedimenter and there are two electrodes in the sedimenter. Is that also how the standard Toyota one works or does the Toyota one use a float switch of some kind?
I'm assuming the electrical conductivity of water is different enough from diesel for the sedimenter to sense it and signal the driver.
I need wiring information to make the sedimenter light an idiot light if it gets water in it.

I always thought the stock Toyota sedimenter ala Cdn diesels was a float level thingy principle...
