Water every where, MOLD!!!!!!

I suggest you mix a box of baking soda in a bucket of water and pour it into your interior. Drying it will be the easy part provided you have a pile of old newspapers. Just lay them out on the floor and change them when they get soaked. If you keep this up, the carpet will dry out totally and you'll be able to vacuum for final cleaning.

If you want to find your leak, try to lay out dry newspapers on a wet weekend and leave your car parked in the rain.

i looked back but didnt see anything so there in the rear of the pan huh? how would one go about cleaning those? can u get weed wacker wire back there?

thanks again guys

you shoudl be able to see the rear drians by opening the sunroof, to get access to them if they need cleaning you may have to remove the sunroof

bt your mold looks to be further back than that? you may have to lower the rear of the headliner (or the whe thing) to find the leak.

I would only add that you need to find ALL the leaks. I have been playing the old, "Aha! That was it!" game for weeks ~ fixing one leak that I thought was the only one, then having wet carpet again. Fixing another, more wet carpet.

You should really pull all that rear carpet and headliner out (be careful!! $$$) and let things dry really well. I would probably wash the carpet with something to kill the mold spores as best you can, or you can bet it will come back as soon as conditions are right again in the future.

With the carpet/headliner/trim panels out it will be very obvious where water is coming in and/or where it is pooling up. That was the only way to really see where all of my 9 (yes, nine: all slider window clips on DS, gas cap gasket, rear slider vent, rear quarter panel weld under hatch seal, side marker light, and rear window gasket) leaks were coming from. You really have to be sure you got it all, or the mold will come right back as soon as things get moist again.

If the rig is sitting for a few days, you might try some of that RV interior dessicant stuff. I don't think you want to drive around with it in there, as it will spill, but it will help absorb some of the hidden moisture. I also set my dual halogen shop lights in the back for a while to warm things up a bit. That seemed to help.

Good luck!
Steve
