Well Yesterday was not a good day for the Tundra. I did a complete Roll over off of the road, and then back on to its wheels. I hit a good ice patch on a bridge. I managed to keep it off the concert gridders on the bridge but failed to get corrected before I hit the edge of the road. Was only going between 35 and 45 mph when I lost it. I thought I got it stopped but off of the road was a down hill slope, so gravity played in, and I slowly did a complete roll over. When it came to a stop on its wheels I hit the 4wd button and drove back on to the road. I was a accross from a tire repair shop so he fixed the tires that came off the bead. Called my isurance company and they said to stay put so the could have it towed. Damage to the Tundra is minimal considering it rolled. No broken Glass, except in the camper, not sure if I even damamged my fiber glass shell, it didn't even knock the snow off of the top of it. No trip to the Hospital was not even sore this morning like everybody said I would be. Got it towed then went to work. Not 5 minutes after me, a Ford Ranger did the same thing but he didn't roll it just backed in to the ditch.

To top it off, the day before was my birthday and my wife told me, now that I'm a year older maybe they should take my license from me.:flipoff2:

Thank goodness you are ok. That must have been very scary. I think I might have made a deposit if that had happen to me.
Sheet metal is easy to fix. Skin and bone a bit harder.

WOW!! Well bro I'm glad to hear that your OK!!!! it sounds like it could have been WAY worse! OH and hey HAPPY late BDAY!!

Glad you are OK, and sounds like the tundra will live! Happy belated bday!!

The only time that I was scared was when I was on the Bridge, I knew that the Cement guard rail was going to hurt. By the time I rolled I knew that I had slowed enough that injury was probally not going to happen, I talked to the reapir shop and I believe it is goin to be fixed, i hope I really don't want to deal buying a car right now.

THe funny thing is that the guy at the tire repair place called 911 and the first thing the dispatcher asked him was " Is the person intoxicated" Come on at 8 in the morning, during the weekday.

Damn is right. Got say that doesn't look half bad considering.

ah, hell I bet it can be buffed out

Wow..

Yep, good thing no-one was hurt and you were alone in the rig. When I was younger I used to ride the kids all over the place in the back of my Chevy. I took too many chances and got lucky no-one was hurt. You do now have a truck with that "veteran" look. I'd say about 3-4 years of trail damage? ;p

Well if they do total it, doubt they will. I will be buying it back, weather I start to wheel it or not I don't know, it is still kinda of big unless I have someone chop that bed section 2 feet, straight axle the front, 4 in lift, believe me I have thought about it, but i bet they fix it. Hey I could have A/C on Mcgrew if they do.:bounce::bounce2:

And most of you live where it's hot in summer. Try traveling in from the coast.
Oh, right, I do have A/C. :D 2 runs ago seemed to be the hottest. Boy that river felt good.
Good luck dealing with the aftermath.

Well they are going to fix it. I'm going to be daily driving the 60 for atleast a month an half but atleast it is getting fixed.

They at first stated that they were going to total it out, but when I questioned them about buying it back they stated I could have it as parts or salvage and could not reregister it. I told them that it could be fixed, so the insurance company took a better look at and decided to fix it. If they did total it out to the point that it could not be registered, I was going to pull the motor and put that in the cruiser, but the dream of power in the 60 will have to be put on hold for awhile now.

There saying that if the roof is damaged enough, they will deem it unsafe and it goes to the scrap yard and gets crushed. I'm just glad I spoke up, I could not think about a 70,000 mile truck getting crushed, witht the little damage that it had.
