No way can I do what you guys do (relocate it using brackets on the cruise control) the brake cyliner is there, no space at all.

There is some space on the opposite side, near the firewall, but not sure it's enough for that big bottle.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Found this pic of a diesel bay, and the washer bottle they use it right where my fusebox is - not sure I want to move my fusebox to make room for that.
Does show the space behind though...where the diags box is.

Wish there was a breakers (boneyard) near here, I'd just wander around 'till I found something... but there isn't ! Looking at a diesel 80 tomorrow to see if I can think of anything... maybe could still use that bott.

Here's a better pic of the whole bay attached - you can see the lack of space in the LHD location due to the brake cylinder.

Took some pics

(ignore all the LPG stuff)
Note dePAIRed in preperation.
The more I look at it, Rick's method is I think the only option, just too messy on the RHS near firewall location (LHS from within vehicle) - especially with the LPG ECU there too.

Glad you replied actually Rick, just found your charcoal canister relocation bracket thread - looks like a good plan - didn't realise it was that easy to move the fusebox along to make way for the diesel/91 washer bottel setup.

When I put a second battery into a truck with a SC I ran into the same problem. There is an option to switch over to a Camry or smaller bottle but I'm not sure if that would work for you.

The solution I came up with gives you a nice large washer bottle but does move the Charcoal canister out and makes getting at the oil filter a little bit of a challenge. Not that big a deal to me.

To use my bracket you need to source the 91 washer bottle (2 piece) and the 91 fuse block bracket. If you find them in the junk yard they are typically very cheap.

Tomorrow I'm going to see if I an relocate the canister up towards the firewall (where the US brake cylinder is)... that will make things pretty easy :)

Well the proof of concept went OK...

It's not quite vertical (is this critical ?), as I need to space one of the legs, but with a little bending of the original bracket, plus removal of one foot, I now have a relocated charcoal canister. Need to make a little bracket to make use of the shock tower, as it's currently only supported by two legs, but seem very rigid.
