I would like to revisit ways to relocate the washer bottle. I installed the C4 cover but the 35 tire is hitting it on hard lefts. So I am thinking instead of relocating the reservoir, as I did for my previous FJ Cruiser.

Has anyone tried this? New Washer Fluid Reservoir Fits Lexus Gx460 2010-2020 - Etsy - https://www.etsy.com/listing/930708692/new-washer-fluid-reservoir-fits-lexus
The picture sucks, and I can't even see a way to fill it, let alone figure out how it installs.

I also ran across this Washer Fluid Kits TOYOTA FJ/4Runner | By Expedition One - https://www.expeditiononestore.com/Washer-Fluid-Kits_p_52.html
The listing has a selection choice for "Lexus 14+" which might be for the GX seeing as the other choices are FJ and 4Runner, but might be for an LX based on part number. Ain't cheap either. I sent a question to them to find out.

I’m not 100% committed to relocating the reservoir, but this is how close the tire is at full lock left turn. It just clears, but if the tire is stuffed at all it could hit.

First I’m going to try trimming the C4 cover (not in picture) so the tire won’t catch it. And clearance should improve as the tire wears.

Is it possible to just relocate the mount to bring it up vertical an inch or so? Would that be enough to clear?

Good question, I thought of that but have not looked at it yet. I'm guessing not, given the shape of the bottle but you never know there might be a little slack there.

Good news, Expedition One has replied that it is for the GX460. The bad news is it is $321.74.

Ummmmm……is it made of freakin’ gold?? Or do they come to your house and install it? Holy s***! It’s just a washer bottle. 🙄🙄

Well, I imagine they had to pay for a custom mold, and design and make the brackets, but yeah...

But AFAIK it is the only game in town other than DIY.

I’ll run a couple self-tapping screws through the inner fender to mount that Dorman overflow tank before I spend $300+ for that.

Heck, one can 3D print a bottle cheaper!

Well this is timely. I bought the Expo1 front bumper and I ordered the washer bottle relocation kit too. Just arrived a couple days ago and I just got it off the pallet and unwrapped it today. I'm going to attempt the install of the bottle kit Wednesday and the bumper by the end of the week.. So I can take some pics for you guys.

can this and these help you folk's cause in a positive direction ?

- the bottle kit is ALL Genuine NipponDenso Japan parts

- the main kit comes with a flat surface mount metal oem powder coated mounting bracket

- however ........

- i reproduced these 2 similar but not the same mounting bolts pattern 45' incline style mouting brackets for the 40 series crowd , as the inner fender is on a 45' angle ..

thus the bottle slides on and i vertical .....

- 2 years ago at fall Crawl a LEXUS LX fellow purchased on of my kits and mounted it in the passenger side front engine compartment , in a very very similar way as you all are trying to do and accomplish .....

- he actually installed it right there in the camp ground , and later posted here on MUD too it solved his relocation needs well ,

- Below are a few LINKS , i have 12V and 24V kits ..........

- the kits come with everything you can possibly need except washer fluid ...

- please let me know if you have any questions .

thanks for letting me share , i hope my kits and subsequent gold plated incline brackets can assist this cause for the LX and Prado community members ......

kindly
matt

-here is a Snappy TECH Video of mine , @Yotajeff shot and produced it for me , that may help better understand the full potential here ,

if you simply image my kit and if need be assy. gold plated mounting bracket , remember the main base kit alone comes with a FLAT surface mounting bracket too , ...

this may fit the need here very very well , and needless to say , its a OEM TOYOTA Based Parts Kit 100% JAPAN . :)
