Does anyone know if a Warn 9.5ti winch will fit behind an ARB bull bar front bumper for the 100 Cruiser?

I am thinking the integrated solenoid will make it too high, but can't confirm this.

The reason I ask is I have a buddy with one I can get for a straight trade for something I have, but don't want to do it if it won't fit.

It might fit if you leave the bumper cover plate for access to winch open.....>BBQBoy just put an ARB on his hundy.....but would need to measure the opening first but looked like it would work when I helped him install everything. He chose to go with remote installation instead for his regular winch. I think his solenoid would fit due to the size but not sure if the integrated version would due to the different profile and setup. The more I think the less I think it will with the integrated versions....

Dimensionally, the VR10000 is smaller than the M8000 in just about every dimension. I'd say the VR10000 has a very good chance of fitting.

Yeah all the new entry line of VR winches will fit. I was just yesterday looking at the dimensions, mounting pattern, and weight of the VR12000 considering it for my new ARB bumper.

The largest winch you can fit into the ARB to my knowledge is the Warn M12000. So you can reference it's dimensions to know if others will fit. As Trunk noted, you can't use any of the "i" winches that have the solenoid integrated into the top of the winch case. These are designed for an open winch plate like on the front of a Jeep Wrangler or FJ40.

Bottom line is if WARN attaches their limited lifetime warranty to the product then they are standing behind it and you should feel at ease. They indicated the VR winches are made with parts from overseas, but assembled in the Oregon factory. I believe that, as it's very common with many companies to keep costs down in this economy.

People asked WARN for a lower cost alternative and they delivered. It's really pisses me off that people then turn on them and criticize the company for delivering what was requested. If you have the budget and want the best, then pony up for their M series of winches. They are basically the gold standard in off road.

With that said, I've decide to go a completely different direction with Superwinch. They are designed in the US, but assembled in China exclusively for Superwinch. Much like the Apple model. This is a far cry from the small handful of manufactures in China making cheap winches which are then rebranded by every oddball off road company in the US.

For the price I'm buying a Titan TW12 with synthetic line, excellent quality for the price and great customer service.
