Warn M10k on an 80 series

I found a really good deal on an m10000 so I went ahead on bought it. After looking at it it looked like it was going to be a lot of work to get it to fit in the bumber I had aalready built so I put it up for sale so I could pickup something a little easier to mount. Apparently no one wanted the m10000 so I went ahead and made it fit.

First step was to narrow the winch in order to allow it to be centered between the frame rails. After the winch was the proper width I have to get some more clearence at the core support. The core was cut and capped and a piece of 1/4" angle was welded, should be plenty strong. Then the sheet metaltrimmed to allow the free spool handle to swing freely.

It was a bit of work but I am happy how it turned out. As you can see I still have to cut the hole for the winch line and finish the wiring but the solenoid pack is mounted and the aproach angle still looks pretty good. Also I picked up 85' of 3/8" synthetic to spool up. I still need to source a fairlead and may end up getting one made to match the new drum width. All in all I took 3" out of the drum width and ended up loosing about 40' of cable length but I plan on carrying an extension so Im not too wooried
