Hey guys I just purchased a Warn 9.5 XP with Spydura synthetic rope for my 80 series from Alex at AOE. I did some research and it seems like a mixed bag of results with this winch. I did read Slee's post on the feet down mounting and drainage. I was just curious about those that have this winch on an 80 series or anything big and heavy and what the results have been. Feel free to comment or share your thoughts on this winch. Thanks in advance.

Hauled my 80 out once with mine years ago when my ARB compressor (and thus the lockers) died on a muddy climb. Pulled three other Cruisers out of a deep sand pit at Turf N Surf last year with no issues whatsoever. Sand + 45 degree pitch and little help from those which were stranded. Didn't overheat or give any indication that it was stressed in the least.

Pulled my 8,000lb 100 and 2,600lb trailer out of numerous situations without a complaint including a couple times buried to the frame in mud/muck. Had it since 2006 and would do it all over again if I had to...its an underrated winch.
