Wanted Want to trade low miles ranger OD for UD

I've got less than 1000 miles on my ranger overdrive and realized that I don't ever shift it. I've used it as an overdrive unit twice and that was with a set of 31" tires I borrowed for a road trip. I couldn't do this next week... but would be super interested in doing this soon.

When I bought my Ranger you guys said not to get the underdrive cause you had just sold the underdrive units for like $300.... where are you now? haha

I ran the underdrive with my v8j60 with a h55f. I believe you can just buy the gearsets from AA. To be honest I can't say the 17% is a huge reduction. I just didn't want the whine of the overdrive.

You might consider swapping in a lower set of diff gears and keeping the OD. With 4.11's in my 40 I liked the OD, even when I had 33's...

Just a thought...
