Want to rip the running boards from my LX

I think the most practical method will be to purchase the entire rear axle and install it. The e-locker rear end uses different PN on the axles than the non e-locker rear. I'm assuming you couldn't just swap out the 3rd member without additional modifications.

Toy e-lockers have been swapped into non e-locker rears before, but at that point, what is the cost benefit over using the ARB product? Not worth the extra time and labor in my estimation.

So if you can score a good used complete e-locker rear end, then I say go for it. I've been looking for one and I lost out on one good deal so far. If I find one before I have the cash for the ARB then I'll do a write-up.

The other benefit is you can part your old rear end out here or some shop like Slee's may offer to buy or trade it complete for parts.
