I'm upgrading the tranny & t-case in my '87 pickup to an R151F, so I have my old W56 in the way now. Truck has ~220K on it now, but the PO tells me it got refreshed with new synchros and bearings before I bought it at 150K. Works fine, sometimes it can be sticky getting into 1st, I just throw it in 3rd first then it goes right into 1st. Occasionally you can hear a little bit of whine in 5th, but it's been that way for several years, not getting worse. Has never once popped out of gear. Both outputs are solid, no wobble, and the seals were replaced recently, no leaks. You could swap it right in, or give it a quick rebuild if so inclined. Includes both shifters, but I need to keep the 5-speed knob (my R151F didn't have one).
MUD price: Asking $150, I really need it out of the way. Currently located in Barrington NH, no shipping, but I could deliver depending on the distance. Will go to craigslist soon.
