I just had the entire unit replaced with a brand new one, a few days ago and it really only happens when its cold outside like under 50 F. I have a brake and it brakes just fine. So when these come new I would assume they would come with new pressure sensors and stuff like that please tell if I am wrong. I am taking it back to the Toyota shop that installed on Monday.

I know new parts can be faulty. But is there anything else I should be looking for like sensors ETC. That might have gone bad or freaking out due to the cold weather.

Thank you in advance

Assuming you had no previous issues that you mentioned prior to the new unit installed but happens after? The new head unit is the suspect.
What head unit are you referring to by the way?

The VSC beep of death signals the brake booster is losing pressure and cannot supply adequate braking power.

Is the replacement new or rebuilt? It is possible they bent one of the wire connectors. They all need good connections to work properly. The good thing is, it should give you a code to help trouble shooting.
