Voltage regulator, aftermarket speakers, whine

I have a whine in my 94 that comes from the speakers (I am sure of this). The whine gets louder and higher pitch when the RPM’s go up. This has been going on since I bought the truck, and the PO installed a new Alpine head unit, and alpine speakers.
