Just finished wrapping my LX with vvivid matte metallic Army Green wrap and matte black.

In did the whole thing myself. I learned alot about wrapping from a YouTube channel (CK wraps) .
Materials were as follows
65 feet of the army green
15 feet of the matte black

I also did wood grain delete on the interior (except the steering wheel)

Would be happy to answer any questions for those considering wrapping your 200
Also would love to hear feedback on the video itself. It's something I'm trying to start and hopefully grow it a bit more.
Thanks

Much respect to all the DIY efforts. How many hours did you have into the wrap?

Thanks guys. It was about 30 hours with taking stuff apart and putting them back together.
This was sprinkled over a span of a week.
It was a great time to do it since I was stuck at home and the truck wasn't needed and I didn't have a problem putting it out of commission for a week.

For anyone trying to tackle this. Start slow wrapping easy objects that are fairly flat till you get the confidence to do something with more complexity.

If anyone is interested in what it cost. I bought the film on black Friday at 40% discount. All under $500 (750 Canadian). The tools required are fairly cheap. Heat gun is $25 and the wrap tools can be found on Amazon for under $20.

I had wrapped two vehicles before. One for a friend that we both had no clue what we were doing. Turned out MEH. And my mini (that one cost $80 to wrap..lol). It's a fairly low risk project (unlike my bumper) so don't sweat it if it doesn't work out as you intended. Worse case scenario, you have something to protect your paint on the next wheeling trip.

Wow. That’s incredible. Looks amazing.

And here I sit super intimidated thinking about wrapping my door handles.
Don't be. There are a couple of great videos on YouTube on wrapping handles without taking them off.
But if you do want to take them off, let me know. I can walk you through it.

Awesome job man! I wrapped my IS300 with the help of an experienced friend and swore i wouldn't do it again. But, recently its been on my mind more and more. Thanks for the inspiration.

Looks great. Nice job. (although to be fair, you did cut off the hardest part to wrap and replaced it with a metal bumper ;) )
Having wrapped my ES350, I know what a pain this job is. Make sure you get a good cleaner for that wrap. Matte and Satin are a pain to take care of. Isopropyl alcohol will refresh it if it gets contaminated. These are what I used...

Looks awesome. Where do you buy the material? Is it possible to buy stock OEM colors? I need to do hood and roof of a Ford E350.

This is a good place to check

Major kudos!
One tip I’ve picked up from my limited experience wrapping 4Runners and Supras is to just order handles caps off a black VIN identical model/trim vehicle. Not too expensive and will hold up better. Same with emblems, just order new ones (pre-VHB taped). Easier than spending an hour+ cutting new VHB tape with an
X-Acto knife.

What film did you use and where did you purchase?

Wow good job!!!

I'm debating between matte vs glossy on my ford E350. Is matte more maintenance than glossy? I am looking for something that isn't hard to maintain.

It is if you normally use car washes. Matte, Satin and Flat can not have gloss items put on them like car wash soap, wax, detail spray, things like that. If you do use car washes, you will need to find ones that don't apply the soaps and waxes.
I used a special soap for washing and a matte detail spray for in between washes.

They can be more susceptible to environmental issues like bird droppings and tree sap. You will have to be more diligent in keeping it clean. Isopropyl alcohol can be used to restore the finish if you do get wax or other glossy coatings on it.
There are things you can do like using a Matte PPF then you won't have to worry about it but that raises the cost by 2-4x.

I just dropped in to ogle the bumper some

How expensive are handle caps off a black lc? My lx is a 2015 and I hate chrome.
