Forgot to mention, sometimes there are two antenna cables installed, try both for a decent ground.

On another note, my boot sub is still working even after doing the bypass, not sure how this is possible given the harness converter states a 4 pin speaker output... PO may have modified the wiring on my vehicle.

For anyone installing a reverse camera a good point to mount is in between the two tail gate lamps above the number plate. You can mount the wiring through the number plate screw hole by drilling a bigger hole and mounting a rubber grommet for waterproofing, poke the wires through grommet and feed through the bottom tail to the inside section of the car. Remove the carpet on the inside of the tail gate (just held in by pop clips) remove the two screws to get panel access to the area you just pushed the wires through . From here i pushed the wires behind the plastic guard near the rear row seat belt and into the locker space where the tail light wiring is located. Tap into the reverse lights and find an additional 12V source and decent earth. I used waterproof cloth tape to secure the RCA leads and wires before clipping the tail gate carpet back into place.

Oh my, this is perfect timing. my rig had a hge amp sub installed and enormous wires, I yanked it all. I want a radio and speakers. not extra weight taking up space that I need for actual overland gear. great timing.

I'm hearing you, I have been removing unnecessary electrical components from the PO all year. If you are changing the speakers I think the Sony 6" are the way to go,
This post is the best High praise for the Pioneer speaker replacement behind stock grille!
