Vibration in 4wd when taking foot off accelerator

Hi all,

I've had an issue with my BJ 73 (again)

Driving great in 2WD but when in 4WD - and in any gear - when I take my foot off the gas there is a loud vibration from the front.
It goes away when I depress the accelerator again.

The gearbox and transfer case where rebuilt 20,000km ago.

Any thoughts? Pinion bearing? Please don't say transfer case

If you have fitted a 50mm spring lift, it probley be the angle of the frount tail sharft. you will have to fit a cardnol joint to the sharft on the t/case end.

I would check the ujoints and slip joint on the front driveshaft for play. Grease them up while your there if you have not done it lately. John

Pinion bearing preload? If this loses preload when the diff is not under any load ie coasting it can make heap of noise and vibration. Easy to check also could be what others have said. Start with one and then eliminate as u go.
