I've have a set of Budbuilt skids in 1/4" aluminum for sale.
I have the front, engine, transmission, and transfer skid in aluminum, with the steel transfer crossmember.
They have been used off road a fair amount. They aren't pretty anymore. But they are still fully functional. Lots of pictures of them in this thread: Post your wheeling damage pics - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/post-your-wheeling-damage-pics.270344/post-14172352
I wouldn't recommend these if you plan to do lots of off roading where there are big rocks/ledges. They work, but since they are aluminum, they gouge more easily and get deformed. The good news is that they can be persuaded back into a usable shape since they are aluminum.
These will not win awards at show and shine, or cars and coffee. They've been used on trails and have scrapes, gouges, bends, and wear. They would be good for instant overland cred on instagram though.
They're still installed on the vehicle at the moment, so I'd need a little advance notice to remove them.
Pick up only in the Burlington, Vermont area.
New from Bud, the set runs $1910, plus shipping. I'm asking $1200 OBO.
I'll throw in a Rival aluminum fuel skid if you want it.
