These lights went dead the other day all of the functions still work but they no longer light up at night. Is there a light behind each button? If so what's the best way to get these out without scratching up the plastic?

So all of them went dead at the same time? Probably a fuse or a connection issue.
The lower dash skirt comes off easily. First remove the lower instrument surround (right above steering column). It just slips forward, no tools required. Then the lower panel comes toward you; IIRC it's just held in with clips at the top and screws at the bottom.
Once you have that lower panel forward, the switches just release to the rear. Unplug them first. I've never replaced the bulb, so maybe someone else can help with getting the micro bulbs out. But again, it's highly unlikely they'd all go at the same time...
Guess I should clarify they went dead around the same time within a week of each other. I checked the fuse and seems fine, so I'm assuming bulb needs replaced. Thanks for the info to get them out though. Do you think this is an easily sourced bulb or order it from the dealer?
