VE diesel injection pump upgrade

Most owners just go with the standard 1HZ pump because they are relatively cheap and plentiful, and for that reason no one bothers trying to find something else to fit.
 
Can anyone tell me which 11mm & 12mm VE pumps will fit my 95 HZJ75 1HZ?

Did I tell you already to contact TBB (the big boy) about his 12mm 1hz pumps on Lcool?
This may be your best route.
You can also try Diesel Central (QLD) and United fuel (perth)...
 
Yes the 1hd-t and ft pumps are 12mm
@Hulsty , I really want to see more of this hzj75 that your friend is punishing....
 
Tom is just running the stock 10mm pump maxed with his turbo not running a wastegate last I heard.

Note: I have yet to see photo of the side of a 1hz 11mm pump.
Apparently the newer 1hz's are 11mm but I have yet to see this....
 
I'm away for work at the moment, when I get home, I'll hopefully have my mods to my HZJ75 finished and be back on the road:

Complete so far:

The next couple of weeks (head is off)
Then we'll see where we are. At 20psi, I expect it to be running very lean as there is a limit to what the 10mm VE can distribute. I'll probably go straight to the 12mm.

Mmmm, no wastegate...

I've bought one of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/200522570627?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 as quite a few people have told me that the more powerful and pre loaded your actuator, the earlier you will spool and with precision wastegate control.

The instructions that come with it tell you to line the hole up with the pin on the actuator arm, then give it 6 full turns of pre load.

They youl need compressed air to actuate so you can get over the pin.

do you have a body lift?
You may have a little bit of trouble fitting a 4" plenum under the bonnet.
That W2A core may pose a challenge.

I'll stay tuned... Are you going to measure efficiency?

What photos you want? I can ask him, car is currently for sale, unfortunately I forgot to get pics of when I drove it, especially with the tacho at 6000rpm
 
Just suspension lift on parabolics. The existing WTA intercooler is a 10" x 4" barrel, the previous owner who installed it put washers between the bonnet mounts and the hinges, it clears no worries. An eyeball on a stringline looks close but ok, I think... I hope :)
