So I ruined the front Differential after wheeling in GA clay and driving home for 4 hours. I also ruined the brakes. I am about to do a brake replacement in the drive way, but on the way to the store to get the parts I noticed my VSC OFF light was on, it wasn't yesterday. If I need to change my brakes would this light come on? Or is something else wrong? I will also be consulting the manual, but though you all might have some helpful insights.

Thanks

Trying to understand, sorry for being slow.

Is the front diff repaired from being "ruined"? Did you get it repaired or do the work yourself. A sensor wire may have been left off/come loose triggering the ECU that its in 4hi.

It is not the brakes unless a sensor got pulled off the hub..

Yeah the front diff was fixed at a shop. When I first saw the VSC OFF light I put the truck in $H and drove a few yards and then took it out and the light went off for a few seconds. It went back on again and putting it in4H again didn't help this time.

On a happy note I replaced all four brakes all by myself today.

never mind the light is back today.
