Does anyone have a parts list for a v8 conversion? Adapters to reuse my drivetrain, motormounts for a 350 etc..Anyone have an estimated cost, not including the motor? I just bought another 60 and my wife "needs" more power.

I'm looking forward to doing one myself. I found a good engine rebuilder in Houston. I'm planning on backing up a Chevrolet 350 pushing a little over 300 hp with a Turbo 400 tranny. I assume I will have to get the transfer case out of a chevy too or does someone make an adapter? Also I assume new driveshafts would be in order?

I think the auto of choice is going to be the 700R4. You want the overdrive, they are everywhere and they can handle the power just fine if they are built properly. I ran my 350 with my H55F and a Mark's bellhousing adapter for years. The NV4500 is terrific which is what I have now, I love it. There are a thousand ways to build it, but I think you would be better off spending your money on an NV4500 than on the Mark's bellhousing adapter unless you already have an H55F.

Mp-cude, big time help is at (562)949-9494, or PM me with your mailing address and you will score a freebie V8 instruction manual. Once you select engine/tranny choice, I can help develope your shopping list (new, used, ebay, swap meet, hanging on you buddies garage wall, etc.)

I had one of these years ago, it was a big help.

Is that the "00MAN" manual that's $25 on your website? At $25 it's a bargain!

I would like to keep everything from the bell housing back stock, Really the only thing I want to modify is motor mounts. Is that at all possible. Keep the 4 spd, t-case and existing cross member

You have two options, the Ranger Torque splitter that can be configured to bolt directly to your tranny and and a Chevy bell housing on the front. These can come with either an overdrive or an underdrive, your choice. Or get a Mark's bellhousing adapter. Either choice will leave your trans in it's current location and facilitate an SBC. This also leaves the possibility of obtaining an H55F down the road.
