Well I was doing some winter work on the LC and pulled my v. cover off the 8/74 F and wondered while I take time to clean that up and paint, could I replace it with a 3/76 2F v. cover from a spare engine. It fits prrrrefect, will it work ???? Thanks guys:rolleyes:

Yes it will fit.

You need the seals/cover nuts, etc from the 2F.

The only issue may be the breather to the air cleaner.

Those stamped-steel covers deflect after folks have tightened the cover nuts too much, and then the cover distorts, resulting in an inability to keep a cover seal in place and seal properly.

Really is the only way to cure the cover oil leaks on an F engine. ;)

:meh:

Well I figured I would have to play with the air breather to the air filter when I saw it in the back, thanks boys, back out in the shop :)
