Thank-you for all of your replies to my first post regarding a V-8 Conversion. From your replies, it appears evident that I should go with a Short Block 350. Will any GM short block 350 work, or are there specific cars that I should be looking for this engine? Who sells the V-8 conversion adapters and parts? Please advise.

If it were me, I would choose a SBC with TPI and the more low-end torque the better. The LT-1 falls in this category.

there is a place called "on-target auto repair" in Loma Linda CA that has done one of these conversions. Nice guys and kept all the paper work on what is needed. I'm not sure the exact v8, but you could call them and ask them. Can't remember their names, and not affiliated, but take vehicles I am going to buy to them and they have always been straight with me. the zip is 92354. hope this helps
