First would be to come to a club meeting or run. Ask us about what kind of wheeling we like and see what suits you.
Are you planning to wheel with the stock vehicles or do you want more of a challenge?
Start stock and work your way up to the more difficult trails.
Look at the other 80's, 100's or Lexus models similar to yours for ideas.
Basically:
Tires - aggressive tread and larger sizes.
Lift - if you want to run larger tires, you may need to lift your vehicle to accommodate 35" or larger tires. The lift also gets vehicle parts out of the way (to a degree).
Armour - skid plates, sliders etc. You may need to protect body panels and under the truck
Do you have lockers? If not, you may want to consider at least a rear locker.

especially the CMCC 2008 for other late model LC's.
There are 2 runs on the first weekend in October, the Fall Crawl at Rausch Creek in PA or the Fall Gathering in NH. Both locations have "stock" trails which would be a good way to be introduced to the fun of wheeling. However, a word of warning, wheeling is addictive!
