I finally got to head out to a "local" Off Highway Vehicle area out here called Uwharrie with my Tundra IFS lift and BudBuilt sliders. Its a fun area with several trails that are varying in degree of difficulty.

The 200 performed great - and the ATRAC got its fair share of use. There was one particularly difficult section where I made it up and then waited and waited while several Jeeps and other rigs attempted and failed. Apparently there are so many JKUR (4 door Rubicon) Jeeps out there that the trail was really rutted and torn up by vehicles with that exact wheelbase...and so the more that went in, the more that failed and the more the trail got torn up. My buddy in his lifted Sequoia even made it up!

I hate that photos never seem to do the terrain justice! But here are a few pics any way....

This is hilarious!!

No beer can throwing rednecks rebels to be found?!
Oh there were plenty of trailered-in home-built Bronco/Blazer/Scout Frankenstein rigs around. And it was also a Rover weekend so several great Land Rovers and Range Rovers.... Weather was perfect! Those side-by-sides are getting a little annoying though....especially when some yahoo is blasting music from a giant stereo in one of those.....noise pollution.

Awesome pictures of a 200 series on great trails!
Its weird how the pictures make it look much tamer than it was (or felt)..... You lose perspective of steepness when taking photos....
I guess asking my 12 year old to be a photographer with an iphone isn't really setting us up for photo-journal quality images! ;)

Good job - I love it. Nice to beat all the jeeps to the top.

@NLScooby those are some great pictures. I know exactly where you were at in the trail, and yes, it so hard to tell in pictures that the whole trail is on an angle, then climbing up anything is even harder.

Wish I was there.

Hey man, are you still in the area? I’ll shoot you a note the next time we head out. We had 6 small kids and three rigs (my 12 year old was by far the most senior).

Hey there! I went to a meet up a few years ago but I haven’t become an official member - I should do that!

Yep, huge event next weekend at URE - Carolina Relic Run. Over 150 entrants and tons of raffle prizes this year (Set of BFGs, ARB fridge, etc, etc, etc)

Oh man that sounds great!

I see you have good ground clearance with your lift. I bet the budbuilt sliders held pretty well.

I’ve got about 3.5” of lift at the front. The sliders are beefy and added to my level of confidence and removed a great deal of worry! Much more relaxing

Great place. I went there in my FJ a few years ago after visiting OBX. It was deserted, it must have been during the week maybe? Those “D Trails” are legit. I think I went down Daniel, solo, with my buddy riding shotgun. I thought I was going to flop it over at the top.
