For sale is a 2011 Toyota Fj Cruiser with 190,000 miles. Dubbed “Maverick”. I bought maverick in 2013 and sold it in 2017. After several years of regret, I tracked it down bought it back in October of 2023. I now would like a larger family vehicle. I am in no rush to sell and still might decide to just keep it. I would trade for a nice HDJ81, 4runner, Tacoma, built GX, 4th gen Ram 2500 Cummins, or L405 Range Rover.
In 2013, I purchased Maverick from Don McGill Toyota in Katy, Texas. It was completely stock and had less than 30k miles. Over the next few years, I built it up and wheeled it all over Texas, Colorado, and Utah. In 2017 I made the decision to sell it. At the time it had 140,000 miles and was taken mostly back to stock apart from the lift, roof rack, and sliders. I kept tabs on each owner since then. It moved to TN, then GA, then NC. In October 2023 I flew to North Carolina and drove it back to Utah. I have greatly enjoyed reuniting with my long lost friend but I have found that it is not a great baby and dog hauler especially if I plan to travel anywhere at all. A larger vehicle would be nice. I can’t be sure I’ll go through with selling this, but I guess I’ll find out.
This is the model with the stronger 8.2 rear end and the updated dual VVTI engine.
Asking $18,000. Willing to ship nationwide.
Friends (yes you Drake) don’t try to talk me off the ledge, I know lol.
