Hello, a new GX470 owner here. My driver side headlight didn't restore as nice as the passenger side and the housing has been chipped where a bulb screws in. So, I'm thinking of getting a used pair (OEM) and redo the restoration. But I saw this yellow stain inside the DRL (?) part. What is causing it? Is it fixable? Thanks.

You're likely better off buying some new lamps if you can swing it, for the long run. Whether OEM or an aftermarket. Plus you can upgrade to the darker sports which will look a lot nicer.

If I were you, I'd look into new CAPA (certified?) headlight assemblies. Used OEM are all 15-20 years old at this point and made from clear plastic that oxidizes and distorts. Buy new. Get the sport version . Don't waste any more time "restoring". Just my 0.02

Any recommendation on replacement headlights? I read that aftermarket ones are hit and miss. OEM new cost is high...pressumably worth it? How about TRQ? Thanks.
