And for the record there is not such thing as a Diesel A440F and a Gas A440F just the BH, TC, Flexplate the transmission itself as well as the valve body are the same.

How is it that the manuals present different shift points for the A440 in an FJ62 VS the auto 2H 60 series then? Is all the difference in the torque converter? Possibly the TV cable action?
Since the A440F is 100% mechanically controlled, the difference in shift points is accomplished through the valvebody. The "Guts" of the transmissions are the same between the gasser and diesel though. The trans body, gear sets, clutch packs, pump, output shaft, extension housing, oil pan, all the same. The difference, as stated above, is the bellhousing, torque converter, and the valve body. It would be relatively simple to convert a gasser trans to a diesel trans by swapping these components between the two.
