Any on screen shots??

I'm happy to take some screen shots. However, it looks exactly as if you were playing a CD - same on screen buttons, same text, same info. The buttons do things a little bit differently, but look exactly the same. For instance, if you have "disc rand" on and press "disc up or down" it toggles the disc up or down button to change between selecting playlists, albums, or artists. If you do "disc rand" + "repeat" it toggles between track title mode - song title, artist name, or album name. At the bottom of the product page there is a .pdf manual that explains it better than I can....

Overall, I cannot imagine a better integration with the stock head unit. I would love to see all the songs or albums listed out on screen, but I don't think that's possible with the current head unit. It works as well as can be expected and sounds VERY good.

Just to throw this out there, the ML+ is on sale now, $200 off, making it only $100 more than the MML. It says it should be good for 2006+ toyota/lexus cars. Anybody have the ML+ to verify?

When I bought my MML last summer I was considering the ML+ but I looked deeper at their application chart, and the only cars/trucks listed have the 5th gen Nav, of which no 100s ever got: http://www.vaistech.com/manuals/ML Plus App Guide.pdf

I haven't seen where anyone has tried the Vais MML. So, I took a chance and ordered it. With luck, I'll be installing it this weekend. And, with more luck, it will work as advertised. It's supposed to be digital instead of analog and has a USB input instead of the standard apple connection. Fingers crossed.

Gosh I wish I had seen this when you posted it, I would have said "You have nothing to worry about!", haha.

I stuck mine forward and to the right of the console on the trans tunnel, under the carpet. That way I have easy access for updates and I ran the wire up to the glove box to just keep my iPod there (my iPod is an old 3rd gen video, so when it's being controlled by the VAIS the screen is locked and it's just a big hard drive). It's been really great, I really love it.

Granola,

I would also love to see how it works out. I've been strongly considering the MML myself since I have an Android phone. Using Spotify/Pandora/Flash Drive seems like a great option.

Nate

You should contact VAIS before buying an MML. One of there contacts told me that it was not compatible with Android devices.

just finished the install of the usaspec BT-35 in my 02 LX450. works like a charm. streaming audio/telephone calls through the factory levinson stereo works flawlessly. the factory DVD changer is retained as well, so now i have 6 movies in there and the iphone for music all day long. for $149, the best deal imho. not so much of a good deal, but adding an arc audio amp in the back and replacing the factory sub with a JL audio 6 did wonders for the bottom end too.

This is unfortunately true. Confirmed it this morning.

How's the sound quality? Have heard its poor

sorry just saw this follow up. the sound quality is good. not great, but good. it's pretty darn good for bluetooth. honestly it was slightly better than expected. the sound level of the highs was slightly suppressed compared side by side with the factory CD player, but all in all way beyond acceptable (and i am pretty picky). after using this for a month now, the convenience alone trumps the very slight loss in audio quality over playing a CD.

New Hundy owner here trying to make a decision on which system to use. I really like the idea of the VAIS with the flexibility of the USB plug mounted somewhere inconspicuous for use with any USB device. I probably wouldn't use the center console due to where the phone will mount.

After searching I couldn't see if anyone had tried the GSA Car Kit option. Anyone have any experience?

It doesn't appear to have an external USB connection (seems to be on the module) but doesn't seem like it'd be hard to make that happen.
