Urgent RTH. Trailer wiring.

I also need rth... Read everything, got expert advice and parts at the trailer shop, dug into it this morning, heading out camping today. BUT... I have no black box anywhere. Nothing behind the Jack, or the tail light. Does my 2000 LC just not have the towing package? Strange....it had a tow hitch installed when I bought it. Looks like the plug ready for that 4 pin adapter is there below the truck....???

Thanks

In 2000, the towing package consisted of a receiver hitch and a 4-pin socket for lights...i.e., it's a job where you'll need to add your own +12V hot wire and +12V supply to the trailer brakes triggered by a wire connected from your brake switch to the trailer controller...assuming you're wanting to use a 7-pin trailer connector.

E-trailer.com has the stuff.

Thanks. I have done all my research and have all my parts, but everything I have read here, and from my expert advice, says I need to cut the wires leading into the OEM box, and I don't have one as shown in all the pics listed earlier in this thread...so not sure where to splice in my new controller box...

pic from their site. I have this exact setup.

I looked around a bit for ideas on the conversion, but didn't find anything you would not have found. I could have helped with the 4 pin plug installation, but I don't know what to do to get to a 7 pin plug in a 2000.
