Urgent PSA - Check behind your rear cargo seal for debris/rust

Thanks for this. I check that area often just because when I wash the car I wipe that area every time. I figure if the dust is settling around those areas, so is water. New seals might be a consideration as well once getting up ways of 10+ years depending on location.

This is NOT the seal I pulled. I am referring to the seal on the body NOT the lift gate assembly.

This works unless the seal does not stay in place doing so. As indicated, I would remove rust, fill any gaps and locally apply some white paint.
