Just got back from EJS with the new 4.88's in the diffs--almost too easy to get around with only 33's--unless I needed to get somewhere quick.

Got a little crazy with the rattle cans:D

Down in the hot tub on Hells Revenge ^ had to strap out (good shot of my new bumper tho--whaddya think?)

There was a pretty good crowd there on Sunday afternoon, and I got a little carried away showboating for them. Shortly after exiting the wedge, I discovered loose u-bolts on my driver-side front springs and a sheared center pin, resulting in some unexpected body work by the swampers, as the whole axle rotated back into the wheel well.

Best part of that whole fiasco was when we were fixing that mess, some guy in a J**p drives by and after inquiring whether we needed anything (that was nice of him), stated that if we managed to break a cruiser, we must of been going at it hard. Having had a J**p, I can certainly appreciate the peace of mind that the stoutness of the cruiser brings.

Good times...next up, SOA and 36's:grinpimp:

the tires are 33x10.50 tsl radials, did a little bit of grooving on the center treads. Love 'em.

The camo turned out way better than I expected (and the neigbors-lol). The flat paint hides so much of the imperfections in the body that I have been asked if I got a "new" cruiser. That thing has been a yard anchor for 18 months and now she's back at it w/ a new lease on life

the cammy paint looks good!

I am definately feeling the camo job. Did you free-hand it?

Seriously, that looks incredible. How long did it take?

taped it up in the morning, and including a run in between to get more paint, I was done by early afternoon.

How did that new bumper hold out

It held up surprisingly well considering the beating I gave it. I made it out of 2x2x1/8" steel, and it held together despite being rammed into rocks and dragged. I really like how it turned out, totally low profile and a definite improvement over the stock chrome gutter that it replaced.

I also cut the rear quarters off and did a rear bumper that turned out pretty good too. I'll try and get a pic of it on here. Between the two, it seemed like I was dragging them a lot less than my previous trip to Moab in the wagon.

here is a view of the rear bumper I put together--kinda hard to see, wanted to keep things minimal

Wish i would have had more time to do things a little different on it, but for what it was, it worked great--didn't drag the back end over as much as I did with the quarters and old bumper

I dig the camo job. I'm going to be painting my 40 the traditional camo color in the up coming months. Was planning on doing it before Moab, but not enough time. I have two rigs to wrench on, my own junk and Mark of Metal Tech's junk.

yep--just taped off the windows and trim and starting shaking and shooting. The clerk @ walmart looked at me a little funny when I walked up with a cart full of cans.

How many did it take? I finally found a source for gray camo, so now it may be my turn :D

I dig it too. I have a tan FJ60 and one day if I get tired of keeping it shiny, I now have an alternative!

I have never seen a 60 in the hot tub there, although my favorite Jeep I saw pulling a busted bronco out of it my first time there. How about this for a mod:

How would 6 wheels look on a 60? I think it would be alright! 6x6!

I initially bought 12 cans, then went back and got another 6, and had some left over--like about a can and a half of each color. I painted outside in the yard, and it was pretty windy that day so I imagine that I could have used fewer cans. Nice thing about the paint was it dried in 15 minutes or less

Total cost was about $90, including tape and paper.
