LOL, if it had been me I wouldn't have noticed that until Sat. when we got to the gate. Still plenty of time to change plans. When you talk to them maybe they'd like some help opening up the trail, might be a good opportunity.

@MTyota No worries! Looking through online FS maps it does show everything closed off Wisconsin Creek Rd, which is the trail to Noble Lake. I didn't see any restriction on any of the other maps I looked at... But it is showing Dry Boulder Lakes Rd and FS1007 open which runs along Dry Boulder Creek to Lower and Upper Boulder Lakes. Any experience there?

I'll try to swing by the FS office tomorrow and check out possibilities.

Me too!!! I've looked through at least 3 different maps and saw no restrictions listed.

And for everybody, just cause it hasn't been the norm, the club run is on SUNDAY. I'd hate folks to be hanging at four corners waiting for people that weren't coming

Dang I don't know how I didn't notice that last night either when I was looking at the map. I think as the backup we just go check out some of the other trails in that area. There seems to be a pretty sizeable complex on that Western side of the tobacco roots

The forest service information center in Sheridan said yes about half way up the trail it is closed from April 1-July1. So a plan B will need to be put into place. So sorry everyone.

I figured my drive line vibration out (bad u-joint) and I am driving smooth again. Looking forward to this one. I'll be at the meet up on Sunday at four corners unless I figure out a plan for camping.

Looks like we all missed it!

Don't worry about it!
I checked with the FS in Bozeman and they couldn't provide any info outside of their area...

So I agree with @Black798, there's plenty to explore outside of Twin Bridges even if trail selection is limited.
I vote the meeting spots and times for Sunday stand and we go survey the area for future trips when things open up.

I am going through a trail guide book and found, what looks like, to be a decent trail. In the book it is called "Burma Road-Chokecherry Gulch". The research that I have done thus far (guide book, google earth, internet....)makes this trail seem like a good one, scenery, difficulty, etc. However, the trail head is appx two hours away outside Melrose Mt. I am not sure how far some are willing to travel. With that being said, since the ride is on Sunday I am willing to head down and run the trail Saturday and give feed back before the whole group heads down.
Once again, the trail head is about two hours away and I am not sure if enough people are interested in making that trek.

It could be Epic or a total bust! I for one, am willing to give it a go and if anyone is wants to join the pre-run, right on.

I used to hunt the area around Melrose when I lived in Butte, great trails back then, went up storm peak and Beals mtn often, not sure whats open now, was a lot then.
