without the bodylift that jeff's truck had, the stinger looks a little bit big on your truck, maybe its just the pics?, either way its my fault:doh:, but i hope you like it;)

it looks good...but i hope you don't set it on it's nose until you get some reinforcement. Time for a full front Exo. ;p

It needs bigger tires. Then It will look right. I'm working on that. I don't put in all this O.T. for nuthin'.

Ok, I got the rear v6 third rebuilt (new bearings, lockrite) and I pulled the overloads out of the rear spring packs. They were huge. 3X's the size of any of the springs in the pack. Improved the ride, now I have to see how it flexes.
Removed the prop. valve from the rear brake line. I need the space to trianglate the rear shocks.

Next up... front axle widening and front brake upgrade.

Are you going to use the IFS hub bodies to widen the front? That's the way I will probably do it. Also let me know when those front CV axles are out from the 4 Runner chassis, I will be needing them in the next month or so.

Thats the plan. I'm going to try to get it this weekend, but I kinda had some side work fall in my lap, or driveway actually. I should at least get those out this weekend. I'll let you know.

I flexed this thing out at work with a forklift and a stack of angle iron. It does real well. I'd post pics, but I can't get them from my phone to the computer:doh:
Since the suspension is working, I think I'll concentrate on steering and locking the front, and save the spring upgrades until I have the money for bigger tires and gears.

I'm going to load the pics soon as I can get it out of the garage. I widened the front axle, swapped to vented rotors, and put the 4.56 third in the front. The reman master cylinder I got from autozone was bad, so I took it back, got my new favorite counter guy, upgraded to a 90 V6 mc(1 in. bore) and a dual diaphram booster. I have 20,000 + points on my card, so my cost for the booster was $2.30.:) I'm waiting on the cap for the resevoir(dealer part)

Its back on 31's right now. I switched rims to aluminum. I bought irons and did it myself, but I dropped a screwdriver or something in one. I heard it and tried to ignore it, but I think we all know how that ended.
So now I have to break one of my 33's back down and figure out what went wrong.

Anyway, should be all ready Wed nite.

Wow, did this take forever. It turns out I dropped a wheel weight in the tire when I was changing it:bang: But its together now, so here they are.......

I thought I should get them on today. I'm taking it up to RC for a shakedown run tomorrow. It may not look like this by sunday:D

looks good man, about how much metal did you have to take off the bearing hubs for the rotors to slide over?

i think my bro's 36" sx's would be some sweet trail tires for that thing:grinpimp:...he even lowered the price;)

You have to grind the ears down till they are just above the stud. Thats like .5 in or so? I have an 8in grinder that made it a rather quick job.

The 36's would be perfect, but I kind of hammered the steering Sun, so I think I'm going to have to get that done 1st. The tie rods not supposed to bend up into the springs, right?:bang: I'll see how fast I can come up with money. May be sell my plasma cutter........

i think i have a stock mini tie rod if ya need one;p

pm me some info on your plasma, i might be interested;)

drove by today, looks good in the driveway. trail??????

Not sure. Happend not 10 mins. out of camp between the old office and the the comp course. Mike from RC should know better which it was(hint, hint)

i am not sure exactly of the trail name. i don't think it ever got named, the sign says (new black) for about the past 3 years now.

anyway,it runs from L3 up to the comp course, (parallel to Stair step)

I also have a stock rod sitting in the garage if you need, it's on my 85 front axle waiting to be built.

I'm going to see if the tree method will do for now. I take the bike to work anyway.
