wednesday, as i was sitting down to lunch in a restuarant in the las vegas convention center, my phone beeped with a text message. about the same time i was checking mine, treeroot, mark (cruisercrap) and gary wagonner checked their phones also. we had all received dinner gathering info from woody. bit odd considering he was sitting across the table from us.

sema rocked. just like a couple years earlier, ran into all kinds of old friends. zartman and crew, wayne groom from united, bill burke, dave from dirty toy school, hugh from safari, plus all the bums i was having lunch with. ;)

here's a few shots from the week, including this MEAN looking dually from Toyota!

for the pickup fans, seems toyota's moving forward by moving backwards...this retro truck was all the talk at dinner...and we all liked.

bad sex? or a way to keep the fj cruiser around?

and it was nice to see a "frame off" that wasn't a jeep. if you guessed icon, you are correct.

we all have stuff that needs to be hauled around. Toyota's got a great way to haul your bike and gear. Someone made a classic old ford snubnose into a car hauler. and for those that want all the towing power without a truck, how about a dual turbo duramax diesel chevelle ss?

what's a road trip without a meal?:D and for garrett, who asked if our hotel room had any blood stains on the floor (we weren't in the best hotel, or neighborhood)...no, but i think someone may've come close to dying in one of the beds:eek:

my boss is a bit of a speed freak (the good kind) and has a very built dodge neon (yep...neon) that we drove out there. i filmed a bit of us in utah, where we hit 160 mph and were still about 500rpms away from the rev limiter. this was on pump gas and he left the nox at home.

handles well at 100 mph through the canyon section in arizona on i-15 also:D i'll get that video up soon.

sorry the vid is bumpy...he's got those tires with the 1" sidewall and i was holding two cameras and reading the gauges at the same time.

Nice photos Ige! Maybe next year? I keep saying that. But I said that about Rubithon too and I finally made that last year.
