That particular truck is swiss. The roof of the cab is distinctive in that it is angled upward toward toward the top of the bed cover. The german, belgian, (NATO) models had different roof lines.
The NATO 404's didn't come as diesels they were all 230 cc in line MB gasoline/lower compression engines. The trucks are incredibly rugged. That equates to heavy. They are offroad, or convoy vehicles.
The might do 55 to 60 on the flat, level, road NO WIND. I wouldn't expect more than 45 given a hill or load. There are straight bolt in swaps, the later 280 straight 6 is suposed to be a 90 hP (280 SL motor) improvement. The stock engine is about 120 HP, the reengine with the 280 cc will give 65 MPH with performance to spare.
The option of re-carbing is open to discusion, the stock zenith is offroad design, the free'er flowing carbs from the MB sedans will yield more power but will flood/starve the engine on inclines and side slopes.
They are rated at 1.5 ton. I had one a few years back. The listed price is a reasonable retail listed price. IMHO
