Three days ago I put on bigger tires and cranked out my T-bars are far as they could go. With the adjusting bolt in the same position on both sides (driver and pass) the passenger side is about 1/4" higher. So I back off a couple of threads to make it sit level.

So now the front is perfect. But the rear is off about a 1/4", and I thought that maybe with the front end sitting flush maybe the rear would work itself out (wishful thinking).

The vehicle has been in an accident. The airbags didn't deploy, there is a small dent in the front bumper and the DS quarter panel had a dent.

I have looked around to see if anything on the suspension/chassis was broken but nothing obvious jumped out at me.

The truck drives very well, alignment seems to be on. I'll find out for sure when I take it in.

I did a few searches but all I came up with was a lot of AHC issues from the LX470 crowd. I didn't come across a single cruiser with a similar issue. So I am assuming that uneven suspension in not a common issue.

Are the rear coils they same size or are they side specific? What are the chances the frame is twisted?

If anyone thinks pictures might help I can try to slide under there today

I went through the same as you. Bigger tires. Cranked bars. Had a heck of a time getting it level. It wasnt very off, but i knew it was off and that bugged the crap out of me. My solution? Measure it in your garage, then in your friends garage. Then at a service station. I got a low corner twice (different corners). And once it was spot on. Made me realize 1/4" is close to nothing and the ground was throwing me for a goose chase. My advice? Match up the fronts at the height you want and be happy. My cruiser was not in an accident, but i decided that 1/4" was not worth going insane over.

Which side is lower?
The gas tank is on one side and it will make that side sit lower or higher depending on how much fuel you have.
Or at least that's what I noticed with mine.
If it sill bothers you get some trim Packers for the low side.

Yeah, a 1/4", depending on the side is not really noticeable or out of the ordinary. Spacers can be added to the rear as necessary to level things out, but a 1/4" might be tough, 15 mm is about the minimum height available. Of course you can have one custom made.

The lopsidedness is has nothing to do with the lift or tires, it was there before. Also the gas tank seems to have no effect on it either, typically I put 10 gal in at a time and drive until empty.

I am making a trip to TN next month and I am going to get the alignment checked before. I am thinking I should be able to get the low down on my low ride with the aid of some lasers.

I will let yall know what they find. I'm sure your giddy with anticipation :)

are you assuming your vehicle is on perfectly level ground? unless you verified it with a level of sorts I would bet the ground you thought was level was off by fractions of an inch in the very least and could easily imo throw off a part of your susp by 1/4". if it bothers you, bf changing anything else - verify you are working on truly level ground - front to back and side to side.

also btw, iirc, 1/4" is about the tolerance for side to side height diff. by the fsm.

also i you are concerned woth fractions of an inch i wouldn't trust fender heights - youll notice that fsm uses fixed points on susp like axle height and susp bolt heights... as reference points.

you have fuel tank and battery on same side of vehicle......

also you should adjust according to how vehicle is sitting on flat surface as any irregularities will cause it to tip or tilt.

I would get on front and flex the suspension a few times to make sure it is not bound in one spot....then most measure from center of wheel hub to lower edge of fender for consistency...
