My left rear brake start giving out warning sound, I took a look today, the out pad seems still has some life in it, but the inner one is out and the inner side of the disc (vented disc) wears much more than outer side. Is this normal? The cruiser has almost 200k miles on it. All brake work done by PO. I have own it for a year. Thanks!

Inspect all four wheels, inner and outer pads.
Every vehicle I have ever owned ate pads at a different rate. If it was me I would replace all the pads then keep an eye on the wear and performance.

These trucks are relatively hard on brake pads and the wear you get will differ with your driving habits.

I have heard of people that only replace the worn pads ......... kinda like the spark plug thing ----only replacing the ones that look bad, so don't rely on what the PO did, unless you can talk to the guy that did the work.

Yeah, i also looked at the fronts, they are ok for now, and no sign of uneven wear. Only the left rear.

Did you grap the hubs to see if they had any play? Could be loose wheel bearings or a sticky caliper.

The caliper and/or piston may be sticking ie: from rust, etc
ie: the piston that pushes on the outside pad may be sticking;
so it does not press against the rotor, forcing the inner pad/piston
to do all the work.
Need to check your calipers very closely to ensure they are functioning properly.

If the rotor is out of spec, you should replace it.
