I Hope I'm not beating a dead horse here :shotts: but, I did search with no good results.
Ok, while standing at the front of my 80, hood up, there is what looks like a receptacle for a hood light just to the right of the hood latch in the front. It does not have any wiring harness nearby. In fact, there is no wiring whatsoever on the hood. It looks like a stamped area where a small lamp fixture could be secured with a single screw. I think it is even tapped for a screw. It is approx. 1-inch x 2-inches. Am I the only one with one of these "factory" stamped areas under the front of the hood? Does Toyota make a under hood light for this? What about non-American delivered 80's. Mine is a '97 FJZ80 Collector's Ed. Sorry for the lack of a pic.

Dude, this is where they hood latch actually latches to the hood. Stand there and close your hood and you'll see what I mean.
