Well, it looks like I am going to be bumming a ride from Dan on the Christmas tree run...

This really shouldn't be a surprise, but the 80 is gone. It sold tonight and I am now without a cruiser once again.:grinpimp:

Oh and you can blame SpressoDan for the sale.:flipoff2:

And no, I don't know exactly what it's replacement will be or when I will get it.

I was surprised when you told me on tuesday that you were thinking about it. So was it a the same guy you told me about, or a new buyer? Local sale? Can't wait to see what's in store for the next rig!

No way. So was it you I passed tonight in the Cabelas parking lot? I slowed and honked, we were in the 100 and Jessica saw yours before I did.

If so, I see a pattern. I saw Darcy at the carwash with the Lexus before that guy came to look at it. I saw you guys (Maybe) tonight and this one is sold...

I call that a pattern.
 
That was Steve White...he bought J&D's 80. Alvaro and Steve drove up from Sacto yesterday to look and drive the '96 LX450 at a used car dealer on Mill Street. After we did that we stopped for lunch and while discussing several of the better 80/LX450 vehicles Steve has looked at recently I just asked if he had spoken to Jack lately.

So I dialed up Jack...the short version is Steve and Jack made a deal yesterday. The only thing I'm pissed about is the fact I left my camera home and didn't get photos of the process :rolleyes:.

So...about 6:00PM yesterday Alvaro called me and said CHP turned everyone around somewhere west of Gold Ranch due to an accident that clogged up the west bound lanes of I-80. They went to Cabelas to kill some time thinking they'd still be able to get back up and over to Sacto. No dice.

So we all went out to Johnnies last night and had a great dinner...and they spent the night at our house.

Steve has been with Alvaro in La Cabra the past couple years of Utah trips. Steve resisted quite well the first year but I could tell the 'house of cards' came tumbling down apart of this year's Utah run. So Steve got serious about finding an 80 this summer.
 
I was right behind Steve on Jack's ex 80s. Of course since I was driving my blue Tacoma, no one saw me.

That's awesome guys. Like I said, I honked and slowed, saw the driver slow and look then I waited for Jack to call on the cell. I figured he was just busy. Too bad I didn't turn around. I would have enjoyed a quick chat with you guys.


Congrats for all involved.
 
Great find Ken, too bad about those "ranchhand" bumpers, I reallly don't like those.

I really like PW's, but I'm leaning towards a diesel...

Life is too short to keep one vehicle too long, there are a lot on my list to own...

I've only owned 15 vehicles in the last 22 years, sheesh. :hillbilly:

By the way, I come by it honestly, my dad went through 22 cars in seven years, he is much better now (barely).
