Unable to edit signature

I'm trying to edit my signature, and even though I am deleting a portion to actually shorten the signature I get an error message saying my sig is too long, has too many lines. Even if I delete a complete line. When I exit control panel my orig sig is still there. Which is longer than than the one I am trying to make.

I'm so confused lol! I must be doing something wrong, but I don't know what I don't know!
