I have two extremely small cracks in my radiator that leak about a tablespoons worth a day when driven normally. (It's my DD.) I tried to put JBWeld on them to seal them up. It all looked great until I started the vehicle and the radiator got hot. The JBWeld didn't hold and the leaks are back.

1. Can I have it welded? If so, how much does it cost and where should I take it?
2. Is it worth it to have it repaired? Or should I get a new fancy Aluminum one and be done with it.
3. How long do radiators last on average?

Re: Radiator

You can take your truck to almost any radiator shop and they can braze those cracks for you for a few buck's. It would be a temporary thing just to get you buy. I don't know how many miles you have on your truck, but if youv'e never had your radiator cleaned and rodded out now would be a good time to do it.
Or you can order a brand new aftermarket from "Performance Radiator" not real expensive. But whatever you do get it repaired properly or replaced cause cracks don't get smaller they only get bigger. Good luck to you.

Make preparations aquire and install a new,ultra-inexpensive(under $200,right?) brass radiator from Performance or Radiators.com or equivalent, relace the hard-to-get-to coolant hoses while you're at it, and then sit back and enjoy the fact that "it's all been done", and, been done CORRECTLY 'cause YOU did it.

I have a good used radiator for $100 if ya want..

I am switching to an AL unit..

how difficult is it to replace the radiator? is it a fairly easy process? i called performance radiator, and thank god...theyre in Denver. $226.00+tax. -other sean
