Hi, Slee doesn't have it as part of their kit, but one of the techs recommended it. After searching Mud on after market UCAs seems like keeping the OEM UCAs is a better idea. Anyone have problems getting their truck aligned after a 1.5" OME lift with stock UCAs?

Thanks!

You were probably told the same thing that I was by Slee. They can usually get back within factory alignment specs on the OEM UCA's but can't always get it back to exactly where they'd like the alignment to be. Personally, I decided to go ahead and have them install the aftermarket UCA's when they do my lift in a couple of weeks. It's pretty easy to do once you're already in there swapping everything else out and it gives me a bit more flexibility in the future if I ever want to go with more lift or longer travel shocks from somebody like Icon.

Having recently worked through this on my son's 2000 Land Cruiser (with a 1.5" medium kit).

It is my understanding that:
- The only difference between the OME kits for the UZJ100 (1.5 Med/2.5 Med/1.5 Heavy/2.5 Heavy) is the rear springs.
- The amount of lift on the front is purely based on the adjustment of the torsion bars.
- The max lift is on the front determined by the how much "droop" or down travel you have left, with 50-60mm being the minimum recommended.
- If you're planning to have the vehicle "aligned" at the dealer, they're likely to re-adjust the torsion bars (lower the front end) at the start of the alignment. (No they won't have a problem, but it's probably not what you want either)

My son's fender to center hub measurements are currently:
Rear: 22 3/8"
Front: 21 5/8"
The SPC UCAs from Slee worked wonders in getting the caster back in spec on my son's vehicle. The UCAs were used for the gross adjustment, while the factory cams are still used for the fine adjustment.

Are they required? Maybe not. Would I recommend them? Absolutely!

Thanks! Very helpful.
