Hey everyone! I have an upper control arm question. About 10 months ago I put on a stage one icon lift and it's been great. No issues thus far and I am loving the ride and look. However, I feel like I'm regretting not going with new upper control arms. I went with 285/70/17 KO2s and new fuel wheels.

My lovely wife gets an nice bonus every year and this is where I make a play for some new adjustments to the GX. There are of course alot of things I would like to do but something makes me feel like I should upgrade the UCAs. Ivetbeen a part of these forlusm for some time but still learning. Am I gaining anything by upgrading the UCAs or should I try and spend my money elsewhere?

I do not offroad often. I take it to Idaho twice a year and hit some trails and BLM land and ride fire trails and such in Tahoe at times.

Thanks in advance for any feedback! Here is how my GX currently sits.

If you are happy with how it drives I would not worry about it. They also aren't that expensive, aren't that hard to install, and provide some nice bling in your inner fenders. They could be something you add prior to your next routine front end alignment.

It just helps with alignment, especially if you're running larger tires and need the caster moved forward.

Aftermarket UCAs are only needed if you can't achieve the desired caster after a lift.

FYI my 460 is +1.7" and was easily able to achieve stock caster specs during alignment. Yours looks lifted more than that. What is your current caster spec?

Agreed. If you're alignment is all within spec, you're happy with your ride, tire size and lift, call it done and move on to your next mod.
Apologies, but I didn't save the alignment sheet.
But yes, my rig is substantially more lifted, albeit, it may not show because of all the gear I have on it and I'm running 35" tires which will make a lift look not as high.
Here is my build thread if you're curious of what-all I have on/in it: R2M 2013 Lexus GX 460 Overland / Overlander Build
