Karma. Tearing up roads is how cool places like this get shut down. Didn't realize snow was a possibility.Funny. We ran into this coming into the trail. Looks like it was from the night before as you could see where they were rally racing around all the corners going in. It's obvious they had a flat a some point in their adventure and switched to the donuts. Looks like it blew out 100 yards down the trail and they had been still hauling ass on the rim. They wrecked in basically a straight part of the trail so they had to be hauling ass when they lost control and hit the trees. Had the trees not been there they would be dead. good 70-90 ft drop into a ravine. Most likely they were to drunk to realize the car was wedged and tried to ratchet strap it out. They failed miserably. There were beer cans and a bottle of vodka nearby.
Got to be a record. No chat in 24 hours. Come on guys and gals we couldn't have talked about everything.
Here's something cool worth chatting about!
A friend of mine is participating in the Hell on Wheels: Retreat from Moscow Rally right now in a 1959 International Harvester Metro Van.
The rally is put on by the 24 Hours of LeMons team and runs from Moscow, PA to Paris, TN.
Why break on track when you can break on the side of the road?
Roadkill.com has a good writeup of the first day: LeMons Retreat From Moscow Rally, Day 1
Instagram seems to be the best place to follow along using the LeMonsRally hashtag.
Other than the IH Metro, I think the '63 Mercedes 200D is my favorite!
