Hey there I'm going to be getting my 40 and first car very soon. I'm going to work on it myself and learn how to do it along the way with as much help from mud members and others as I can get. I was wondering which type/size floor jack and jack stands that I would need to use to lift up my 40 when I have it cause I know they're heavy. I'm assuming 3 ton jack stands and floor jacks would be all I would need or do I need some that carry/hold more? Also if anyone have any that they're looking to get rid of or don't I'd be really happy to take them off your hands. Thanks and let me know.

3 ton jack stands? Negative. Jack stands are rated as a pair, so a ton and a half each. Sure the math may work, but this is something to definitely go overkill on. Stay away from chinese if possible. There is a thread in chit-chat about the subject. Get chit chat opened up on your screen and right above the first thread on the list there will be a search icon to click on. This will search that specific sub- forum (chit chat). Also, regarding your other thread about 40 series specific tools, go to 40's Tech section and do the same search there.
For tools, a lot of the same tools can be used on 40s, 55s, 60s... so some searching can be done there. This has been discussed a bunch so that may be why no one has responded so search your heart out!
Do you notice a common theme with my post? ;)
